What is a Polar Plunge?
For decades, our athletes have been breaking records and inspiring others with their bravery. The Polar Plunge is your chance to show some bravery of your own. Participants register as individuals or teams and create a fundraising page. This page can be emailed to family and friends to collect safe and secure donations. Then come out on Plunge day to take a quick dip in the frigid winter waters!

We are all about good times. The freezing temperatures might not sound attractive, but a huge event full of music, crazy costumes and loads of laughter can get anyone in the mood for a cool dip. To let you in on a little secret, you are only in the water for a few minutes, but you have a lifetime to brag about your bravery!

The Bear Essentials

1. The Polar Plunge is open to anyone 10 and older.
2. Plungers use their fundraising pages to raise the minimum of $50.
3. Plungers break records of their own by raising much more than the mimimum to earn cool prizes!
4. Plungers wear shoes and at least a bathing suit (no wet suits allowed). Costumes encouraged!
